My Favourite Knitting Tutorial Channels on YouTube
If ever I’m stuck on a technique, I head straight to YouTube. Books and diagrams just don't work for me as I’m a visual learner. These are the people I’ve learnt the most from and who I recommend you check out.
1. Very Pink Knits
I ADORE this channel. If there's ever a knitting technique I need to learn, I head here. The camera angle she uses is really helpful as it feels like I can actually see the small details. Fab!

2. Roxanne Richardson
If you want a bit of history along with your tutorials, this is the lady to watch. Her in-depth sock tutorials are easy to understand and I find learning from her is super fun.

3. Knitting Tips by Judy
A knitter who has a wealth of experience, even knitting for the big screen! She's so chatty and her videos are informative but also feel like she's sitting next to you in a knitting group.

4. Nimble Needles
A channel that has fabulous cinematography. He is great at explaining techniques and is very helpful, especially for beginner knitters.
5. Yay for Yarn
A fab channel for knit and crochet tips and help. I like her style and find her very easy to watch and learn from
6. Ysolda Teague
Ysolda has some great playlists for new knitters. She is also the designer of the famous Musselburgh Hat, for which she has great support videos.
7. Sheep & Stitch
For the complete & total beginner. Her channel shows in slow motion the exact steps needed for each stitch. Awesome for beginner knitters who feel overwhelmed.

8. Nerdy Knitting
Some great tips on Nerdy Knittings channel along with a lovely podcast to listen to while you practise your craft.
9. Flying Dutchman - Ambah O’Brien
A fun way to play with stripes and contrasts. The instructions are super simple to follow and the way Ambah writes the pattern enables you to cross off rows as you go which is very helpful when working lace.

10. Knitty (Magazine)
The YouTube channel for the amazing Knitty Magazine which has lots of tutorials based around their huge free pattern catalogue. You can't go wrong here!
11. Watch Barbara Knit
Barbara is fab for helping you learn how knitting is constructed and how to troubleshoot. There are lots of helpful videos which show you common issues you encounter and how to fix them.

12. Rosehip Lane
A great channel which has full tutorials showing how to make something from start to finish. She mainly uses chunkier yarns which is great for new knitters who want a couple of instant gratification projects!

12. Knit with Laura Nelkin
A great Youtuber who also designs patterns and runs Make-A-Longs, which have step by step videos. Her tutorials are easy to follow and have a calming aesthetic.
